A Tom Sietsema Recommendation
September 7th, 2011 by Susan Gage Caterers
We are honored to have Tom Sietsema, the food critic for The Washington Post recommend us and one of our fine fellow caterers Federal City in his weekly chat on the Washington Post’s Web-site:
It’s hard to review catering companies, in part because they specialize in custom-designed events. Every party comes with different budgets, needs, wishes.
Two caterers I’ve used for significant life moments include Federal City and Susan Gage. Both companies more than exceeded my expectations.

Hillwood Estate & Museum
June 22nd, 2011 by Susan Gage Caterers

We recently catered the opening of the Hillwood Museum‘s latest production, Wedding Belles, which was featured in the New York Social Diary. The Hillwood Estates are a beautiful location for an event and despite the early rain, it proved to be a wonderful evening. We were also thrilled to create our own custom wedding cake for the event as well as a selection of heart-shaped desserts.
The St. Bernard Project & The Patron Tequila Express
June 16th, 2010 by Susan Gage Caterers
We were lucky enough work work with the Patron Tequila Express for two charity events to support The St. Bernard Project. It was great to work with all of the local and New Orleans chefs and mixologists and both events were an amazing success.
Well-Deserved Recognition
May 19th, 2010 by Susan Gage Caterers
Despite spending 10+ years trying not to be recognized, one of our star employees received exactly that this morning in The Washington Post. Chris Freeman, who’s worked in just about every capacity known to a catering, was featured in an article discussing the intricacies of catering high-profile Washington events. While we want to heartliy congratulate Chris, we are a bit concerned he’s now going to leave us for a career in modeling. (Picture from The Washington Post)
