Gypsy Junkyard Fall Party
Summer is over, and what better way to start the new season than with a backyard fall party? Bonnie Walker Events did an incredible job putting together a design and theme which included leather sofas, red velvet chairs and a tent stretched to the sky. Not to mention the strongman challenge, shot telling Zolar booth, wheel spinning cocktail bar, and the food served all night long.
In their biker t’s and leather vests, waiters greeted guests with mason jarred autumn whiskey sours and vanilla pear martinis along with an array of hors d’oeuvres including: white cheddar and carnitas quesadillas, grilled peaches wrapped in prosciutto, lobster corn dogs, baby octopus tempura, and chilled corn soup sips. Displayed were two food stations: a caprese bar full of fresh breads, buffalo mozzarella, local heirloom tomatoes, oils and pesto as well as a taco bar filled with short ribs, braised chicken, grilled corvina, and vegetarian soft tacos. Among the late-night snacks were: cheeseburger sliders, mini sausage biscuits, green apple and caramel tartlets, bite sized ice cream sandwiches and our “boozy” popsicle stand.
With the sunny summer days at an end we couldn’t have asked for a more exciting way to approach the fall season. Here at Susan Gage not only are we looking forward to the beautiful fall colors and cooler months ahead, but also a season full of braising, roasting, and baking some of our favorite meals and desserts!
